Well 1, I want to apologize.

I flagged instead of quoted.

2.
Some one is getting traded because we can't afford him on the main roster as it stands now.

Correct me if I'm wrong that is.

Doesn't Piri suck at everything but shooting? I don't get why this team needs 3283823 forwards

everybody needs to stand down. signing Pirri means zero regarding Nash. Less than zero. He's a depth guy who shoots the puck.

That's the word on the block but our 11 other forwards are good at everything but shooting. So he'll mesh well.

Was my initial thought as well

Pirri is the ultimate tweener player. He can shoot the puck and thats about it.

Natural center who sucks at the dot. His passing and ice vision are poor. Zero physicality. No foot speed. Defensively a dumpster fire.

Better suited for wing but not enough skill to stick in a top 6 roles and too many deficiencies to be a bottom 6 player. Will be interesting to see how AV uses him

Or maybe Gorton just has a weird fetish / OCD thing to acquire as many forwards as possible

Maybe he needs to go back to Applebees

So other than all this, he is great, right?

Congrats Jan, you got your guy.
Now, what do we do with him and the glut of other forwards?

He is a winger. His passing is fine. He is close to being an elite shooter. Defensively not great but that can be sheltered. Great depth addition. Perfect 3rd line winger 2nd PP guy.

Got some replies that Rangers can't be done dealing. Respectfully disagree. Maybe a minor move, but should be it for a while.

Just because I thought he was a fit doesn't mean I love the guy. Plus, I wrote about Pirri before we signed everyone one and the grandmother to play in NY, especially Vesey.

His passing is atrocious and his vision is almost non existent

In 166 NHL games he has 49 goals and 31 assists

Averaging 15 assists per 82 games is a pretty strong indicator for a guys who's primary deployment is for offensive production that his passing is subpar to say the least

Me too. All good. Nothing wrong with having depth. If he has options to go down, the cap hit is about $125k based on contract, so not a major impact.

I just don't want to lose someone like Hrivik to waivers because of all these depth moves
